More Reasons to Cheers

It’s not often you can find a local business you love that has a little bit of everything for all to enjoy. Our partner in the month of August, Galena Cellars Vineyard & Winery, can say they do. Their new downtown location in Galena, IL has three floors to explore that will satisfy more than one of the five senses. Just outside of town, their vineyard allows visitors a chance to walk through the vines, sample and enjoy wine, and on certain days be entertained by talented local musicians. Let’s not forget about the Annual Fall Harvest at the vineyard and Nouveau each November!

With so many ways to experience Galena Cellars Vineyard & Winery, how do you choose? If you can’t do it all in one trip, don’t worry, we have organized some ideas to help you plan and shared how we have personally experienced #GalenaCellars for ourselves!

1. We absolutely LOVE that Galena kept outdoor dining for a second year in a row this spring through fall season. Not only do we enjoy sitting inside and enjoying live music on weekends inside of their 111 N. Main location, but sitting outside on a beautiful day enjoying great company and beverages is one of our favorite things to do. In addition to three floors each with someone of its own to offer from the bar, new food options, merchandise and wine for sale they also offer non-alcoholic beverages. As parents of a one-year-old and three-year-old we adore the kid-friendly atmosphere (at the vineyard as well) and new non-alcoholic slushies for our little girl to sip on and feel fancy!
   

2. The vineyard is somewhere you have to go when in town. Any season offers something to enjoy. Having been in weddings at the vineyard, taken tours, enjoyed the views and wine from the wrap-around porch, and taken in acoustic sounds from weekend live music, I promise you cannot go wrong. Again, we love that this can be a family occasion, girls' day or date day out spot. Their newly renovated tasting room is absolutely gorgeous as well!
   

3. If you do not live in town or if you do, and can't seem to get enough of Galena Cellars - just like us - then join their wine club! Who can beat receiving quarterly wine shipments of three Galena Cellars bottles? Plus there is always a lovely newsletter and recipe included. As locals, we pick-up our wine club shipment and use it as an excuse to take advantage of our complimentary wine tasting included in the membership. This also makes a great gift for a wine-lover in your life.
